Franklin Special faculty and staff convened today for a fantastic Opening Day celebration, filled with warm welcomes, a motivational keynote speaker, and our annual musical production, featuring school and district leaders, as well as some pretty cute and talented students from each school!

The Franklin Special District upgraded its school-to-home communication platform to ParentSquare, a simple-to-use communication hub that offers families many ways to receive information from the district and their children’s schools—all in one place.

Freedom Middle School was recently notified of its prestigious new designation for its sustained success in raising student achievement. Solution Tree has designated Freedom Middle as a 2024 Model Professional Learning Communities at Work® School – one of only four in Tennessee – for its successful implementation of the PLC at Work® process.

The FSD is proud that its students continue a long history of high performance on the state TCAP test. In fact, the composite score of all four subjects – English language arts, math, science, and social studies – lands the FSSD in the top 10% of all public school districts in Tennessee.
